This anesthesiology CME program is a tool for lifelong learning. Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®) is a 10-year process consisting of lifelong learning and self-assessment, ongoing assessment of professional standing, periodic assessments of practice performance and passing an examination of current knowledge. Credits earned through ACE can be used to help fulfill the CME requirements for the Part 2 Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®) program.
The questions in the ACE program allow participants to assess areas of strength and weakness in accepted anesthesiology knowledge or to target ongoing education in these areas.
The ACE program is available as a printed booklet, or in electronic format; the purchase of the electronic format now includes a complimentary app for iPad®
mobile digital device. An annual subscription consists of two issues, one each in April and October. Each issue presents 100 questions with answers, detailed discussions explaining the rationale for each answer and references for further study. Subscribers complete the program at their own pace and submit the answers online to receive CME credit.
